Jess Sesso remembers another life—and a game called World of Warcraft. Born in Lordaeron, he knows that his prosperous homeland will one day fall to plague and the undead Scourge. Unable to convince his family of a disaster still years away, Jess leaves for Stormwind, hoping to build a safer future before history catches up with him. But knowing the future does not make him powerful. He has no system, no noble bloodline, and no talent for conventional arcane magic. To survive, he cleans a mage’s study, gathers dangerous herbs, hunts monsters for silver, studies the language of the orcs, and experiments with shadow magic that may cost him more than he realizes. Alongside Gred, a one-eyed former gryphon rider, Jess begins as an ordinary laborer in a city still rebuilding from war. Yet as orcs, dragons, worgen, warlocks, and the hidden schemes of the Shadow Council draw closer, his humble work log gradually becomes the record of a man struggling to change both his fate and the future of Azeroth.
